Germany, in detail
uni-assist and direct applications
Many public universities process international applications through uni-assist, each with its own document rules and cut-off. I keep a working list of which universities do what.
The blocked account and finances
The student visa needs proof of funds in a blocked account. The provider you choose affects how fast the visa moves. I help you pick and open one in the right order.
Semester contribution and the ticket
Enrolment comes with a semester fee that usually includes a regional transport ticket. It is one of the best-value parts of studying here.
The first two weeks
Registration, a bank account, health insurance activation, and student housing applications. This is where most of the stress is, and where I stay closest.
Germany is a strong place to study and comparatively affordable, but the application system is fragmented across universities and portals. Everything on the Study page applies here, with the German specifics filled in.
What people say
"The help with the motivation letter and the scholarship strategy was the difference between an application and an admission with funding."
"I thought the hard part was the university offer. It was actually the first two weeks after landing. That is exactly where the support was strongest."
